You Are FULL of Glory

Do you know that the Bible says that there is a glory in the physical body?

1 Corinthians 15:40 (NLT)

40 There are also bodies in the he

avens and bodies on the earth. The glory of the heavenly bodies is different from the glory of the earthly bodies.

Did you get that? Our bodies have a glory to them. I assert, we all KNOW it! That is why we try to glorify it a bit more. We dress certain ways. We get our haircut and maybe even colored, (wI think your hair color has glory). Girls put on make-up. We all spend time in the mirror. We want our bodies to look their best. The top three New Year’s resolutions are all about the body! I realize that some people don’t care much and are completely unkempt, those are the exceptions.

I know we indulge ourselves way too much. Not because we don’t honor our bodies, but because life is easy. We don’t need our bodies like we did 150 years ago. Back then if you let your glory decrease, you were in big trouble. Some say they don’t care about their health,… until they get a disease. Then, even if it is flu, they go to the doctor, take medication, eat better, rest more and do whatever necessary to ward off the virus. If the diagnosis is more serious, we take medication religiously, we take time to go to the doctor or a therapy of some sort. All of a sudden our body really matters.

My point is that you do care! So why not start of the new year acting that out in beneficial ways that will set you up for the rest of your life? Why not eat better? Why not move more? Why not rest and sleep more. Why not take care of the body you have so it’s glory doesn’t diminish too soon? This is what you really want. Make the choice. If you need help, which most do, get some help! It is worth it.
